Communiqué
Following several representations made to the Authority regarding a news item broadcast on Radio Plus and Radio One pertaining to the PNQ of 12th November 2011 whereby it was averred that the Prime Minister stated in his answer in the National Assembly that Rehana Ameer should be reinstated to her post at the MBC, the IBA, after having gone through the Official Report of the National Assembly, has found that the above statement is incorrect.
Consequently, the Authority has written to the radio stations concerned requesting for explanations by Friday 18th November 2011.
